Becoming a college – bound student

A student’s academic record – classes they take and grades they earn are the cornerstone of every college application. They tell a lot about a student’s ability to succeed if admitted. So, this is the most important factor in the application. The higher your GPA is , the higher your chance.  Though there is no list of extracurricular activities to guarantee admission to college, students would do what they enjoy but also remember to do activities that contribute to the community. They should also know what qualities do admission officers consider.

To avoid last minute failure, students who are supposed to take standardized tests should start as early as possible. They should be ready to invest a lot time, money and mental energy.  However, test score is one of many things the admission officers look for.  On the other hand, some colleges the test is optional. Either you have a higher GPA or there are other alternative admission requirements such as submission of graded writing samples, or in – person interviews.
