| France Student Visa | ![]() | For those who wish to study in France, they should know that there are three types of student visa . 1. Visa de long séjour etudes (long-stay visa). Long –stay visas are considered as residence permits and are referred to as VLT – TS. It is a visa for people whose program last more than six months and its validity corresponds to the duration of your program in France. Three years for bachelors, two years for masters and 4 years for PhD. 2. Visa de long séjour temporaire pour etudes (temporary long-stay visa). It gives the right to study in France between 3- 6 months without a need of residence permit. It is non- renewable. 3. Visa de court séjour pour etudes (‘Schengen’ short-stay student visa). This type of visa allows you to stay up to three months for a short study course like learning a language. | Netherlands Students Visa | ![]() | All international students who want to study in Netherlands should know that a student visa is a two – way – process: first you would apply for the MVV – or an Entry Visa to enter the country. Second, upon arriving there, you would apply for the VRV – or Residence Permit. Under the TEV (Entry and Residence Permit), students provide the forms to a university which will submit to IND on your behalf. The documents that are required include: 1. A passport with a validity of 12 months minimum. 2. Confirmation of Admission from a Dutch university 3. The minimum living cost / fund of €900 per month. 4. Health Insurance and TB test proof. To apply for the MVV or VRV, the university sends you a checklist that helps you to organize your documents. Once everything is in the place, submit and confirm your admission from your host university. You would also need to confirm if you need a health insurance and then apply for it. You then pay the visa fees, receive a confirmation and then make an appointment to attend your visa interview. |
